About Crispin Derby
Our purpose is always to focus on learning from experts, and to encourage discussion and challenge in the quest for investment wisdom for LGPS pools and funds. The way that we have done that historically is by arranging private and confidential discussions with our curated guest list of local authority pension fund managers and directors of finance, independent advisers and executives of pools.
Sponsors choose venues that are appropriate, often opting for livery halls and private dining rooms in the west end or the City, or, instead, choosing to hold an event online which we are well experienced in hosting.
These discussions have always been characterised by robust and constructive questioning and sponsors have reported greatly improved relationships and understanding of key investment drivers which is why many of them renew sponsorship of these occasions year after year.
Chatham House Rule is the norm for our events to encourage complete freedom in providing and discussing expert information. A single sponsor providing usually one speaker on a single topic followed by questions and answers sets us apart from other similar organisations.
There is no charge to our guests, and all discussions are broadly on a peer-to-peer basis
